Thu, 02nd Jul 2015 08:57

LONDON (Alliance News) - Minds + Machines Group Ltd on Thursday said .work domain registrations have now surpassed 55,000 and said it has sold the net.work domain name for USD100,000.

The domains owner said the registrations now secured for the .work domain mean it is now among the top 20 new top-level domains.

In addition, the company said it has sold the net.work domain for USD100,000, covering first year usage with significant annual renewal fee thereafter. It said it has sold a total of more than 430 premium names in the .work domain to date.

"We are very pleased with the traction our pricing strategy is having in the market for broad generic names such as .work with low-cost incentives driving volume and high-value/lower volume premium names driving revenue. We will look to continue building on this momentum across our portfolio," said Antony Van Couvering, Minds + Machines' chief executive.

Minds + Machines shares were down 1.6% to 7.75 pence on Thursday.
