Legal & General Expects US Infrastructure Investment Over USD1 Billion

Fri, 29th Jun 2018 15:41

LONDON (Alliance News) - Financial services giant Legal & General Group PLC said Friday it expects US infrastructure investments to pass USD1 billion by the end of 2018.

FTSE 100-listed Legal & General said it has expanded its infrastructure investing capabilities to the US, investing approximately USD600 million in US deals.

The company also said it has seen "continued expansion" of its pension risk transfer business since it entered the US market three years ago. The company said the business has written "nearly" USD2 billion in total volume across 28 clients.

"We are very pleased with our growing success in the US and see great opportunity over the next several decades. We will continue to invest heavily in our international expansion and intend to be a major player as we steadily grow our position in the US market," Chief Executive Officer Nigel Wilson said.

Legal & General shares were trading 1.1% higher at 265.50 pence each.
