Keywords Studios acquires Dutch software platform

(Sharecast News) - Technical services provider Keywords Studios has acquired Dutch cloud-based software platform GetSocial for an undisclosed amount.Keywords snapped up the Netherlands-based outfit and its team of 12 engineers led by chief executive Jeroen Bouman in order to further expand its range of cloud-based solutions.The AIM-listed expects GetSocial, which is currently in a development phase, having invested ahead of building revenues, to become profitable during 2020.Chief executive Andrew Day said: "I am delighted to welcome the talented GetSocial team to the Keywords family."It extends our technology base further, bringing to Keywords a leading edge capability built around the social interactions of players in games, which we hope to promote more widely and develop further."As of 0955 GMT, Keywords shares had moved ahead 0.18% to 1,108p.
