Fri, 15th Apr 2016 06:08

LONDON (Alliance News) - John Wood Group PLC Friday said it has appointed the current Chief Executive of Carillion PLC, Richard Howson, as a non-executive director.

Howson will join John Wood on May 12, and will also join the oilfield service company's nomination, safety, assurance and business ethics committees, it said in a statement.

Howson has been the chief executive of infrastructure and service provider Carillion PLC since the start of 2012, moving from his role as a chief operating officer which he started back in 2010.

"I am delighted to welcome Richard to the board. His extensive experience as chief executive of an international contracting business will further strengthen the board and provide valuable support and guidance to the group's executive leadership team," said John Wood Chairman Ian Marchant.
