Irish jobless rate falls to 4.8% following revisions to prior months

DUBLIN, May ​7 (Reuters) - ⁠Ireland's unemployment ​rate fell to 4.8% ​in ‌April from ⁠a revised 5% ⁠in March ​after data for the preceding months were ​revised ‌up, data from the Central Statistics ​Office showed on ‌Thursday.

The jobless rate for March ‌was revised from 4.7% previously, with similar ​revisions applied to data ‌for January and February. The rate ⁠has ⁠remained between ‌4.6% and 5.1% for ​the ​last ‌year. (Reporting by Padraic Halpin, Editing by Sam Tabahriti)
