Investors trim bets on Bank of England rate hikes after CPI data

LONDON, May ​20 (Reuters) - ⁠Investors reduced ​their bets on ​the Bank ‌of ⁠England raising interest ⁠rates in ​the coming months after official inflation ​data ‌came in weaker than expected ​on Wednesday.

UK rate ‌futures pointed to around ‌52 basis points of BoE policy tightening ​by December - representing ‌full pricing of two quarter-point rate ⁠hikes - ⁠down from ‌about 60 bps ​on ​Tuesday. (Writing ‌by William Schomberg; editing by Sarah Young)
