Vast Resources PLC - mining company with operations in Zimbabwe and Romania - Says metallurgical tests at its Baita Plai polymetallic project in Romania delivered positive results. Copper recoveries ranged from between 88% to 94% into a copper concentrate, gold recoveries into the copper concentrate ranged between 73% to 78%, and silver recoveries to the copper concentrate ranged between 69% to 83%. Zinc recovery was 51% into a zinc concentrate with gold and silver credits and molybedenum recovery was 65% into a molybdenum concentrate with gold and silver credits. Test results underpin both the near term and the future profitability of the company. Vast Resources has an 80% interest in the Baita Plai polymetallic mine.
