IN BRIEF: Sportech shares jump with distribution of GBP7.0 million

Sportech PLC - London-based betting technology company - Declares a distribution of 7.0 pence per share in cash to shareholders. Says this will represent a total of GBP7.0 million being distributed. Explains that the distribution follows the sale if its interest in its contract for the supply of lottery systems to Loteria Electronica Internacional Dominicana SA in January. The sale went to Inspire Entertainment Inc for GBP9.3 million.

"Management's successful sale of the terrestrial lottery business facilitated this GBP7 million shareholder distribution taking the total returned to investors in the last nine months to GBP42.5 million," Non-Executive Chair Richard McGuire says.

Current stock price: 36.60 pence, up 12% on Wednesday

12-month change: up 22%
