BlackRock Smaller Companies Trust PLC - investment trust focused on smaller UK quoted companies - Appoints James Barnes as non-executive director with effect on July 31.

Was formerly chair at Dunedin Smaller Companies Investment Trust PLC for a year in 2018.

BlackRock also appoints Helen Sinclair as non-executive director with effect on March 1, 2022. Most recent executive role was as managing director at Matrix Private Equity for two years from 2003 to 2005.
