BioPharma Credit PLC - Winchester, England-based life sciences debt investment trust - Declares an interim dividend of USD0.0625 for its third quarter ended September 30. This comprises of a special dividend of USD0.0450 and an ordinary dividend of USD0.0175. Says it is on track to pay and continues to target a 7 cent base annual dividend.
Net asset value per share on October 5 was 105.47 US cents, up 3.2% from 102.17 US cents on September 30.
Last month, BioPharma said NAV per share at June 30 was up 0.9% to USD1.0072 from USD0.9980 on December 31. Pretax profit in the six months to June 30 rose 54% to USD68.2 million from USD44.2 million a year prior. It reported a net gain of USD7.1 million on investments at fair value, compared to a loss of USD22.7 million.
