GVC/bwin.party shareholders approve takeover deal

(ShareCast News) - Online gaming outfit GVC Holdings' takeover of bwin.party digital entertainment moved a step closer on Tuesday as shareholders of both companies approved the deal.bwin.party said 99.99 per cent of shareholders voted in favour of the deal, while 99.91 of GVC's did the same.Both firms said the deal is expected to become effective on February 1st 2016, with admission of GVC's shares to the Official List of the London Stock Exchange.GVC shares were down 1p at 411.50, while bwin.party stock was up 2.3p at 116.2p at 1245 GMT.
