Fulcrum Utility Services Wins Scottish Distilleries Pipeline Contract

Fri, 17th Jul 2015 06:53

LONDON (Alliance News) - Fulcrum Utility Services Ltd on Friday said it has secured a GBP3.95 million project to install a 13-kilometre pipeline to link the main gas network in Scotland to a series of Speyside distilleries.

The new pipeline will deliver around 4,700 cubic metres of gas per hour to the Tamdhu, Dalmunach, Cardhu and Knockando distilleries.

The project has been funded by the distillery owners, Chivas Brothers, Diageo PLC and Ian MacLeod Distillers.

"We are delighted to be further endorsing our relationship with Scotland's historic whisky industry by the award of this second prestigious contract. Not only are the distilleries enabled to further strengthen their gas infrastructure but they will be able to achieve long-term environmental efficiencies," said Fulcrum Chief Executive Martin Donnachie.
