First Derivatives Names BMC Software CEO Sayed As Non-Exec

(Alliance News) - First Derivatives PLC on Thursday said is has appointed Ayman Sayed as a non-executive director which came into effect on Wednesday.

The Newry-based consulting and software company said Sayed is the chief executive officer of US-based BMC Software Inc, a Texas-based enterprise software company. The appointment was effective on Wednesday.

Sayed said: "The world of technology continues to evolve at a pace that requires faster delivery of innovation. I am pleased to join the board and look forward to working with the management team to drive business growth through world-class products."

FD's Chair Donna Troy said: "Ayman's CEO experience at leading enterprise software companies and his deep engineering background bring highly relevant and valuable skills that will assist the Group's strategy."

FD's shares were down 1.4% at 2,515.25 pence on Thursday afternoon in London.
