LONDON (Alliance News) - Cinema company Everyman Media Group PLC on Thursday said it traded in line with market expectations in the recently ended financial year.
In the year ended January 3, Everyman opened five new venues. It now operates 26 cinemas with a total of 84 screens compared to 69 at the end of 2017.
Everyman expects to open 14 new locations by 2022, with seven planned for 2019.
To help achieve this objective, the company agreed a new five-year loan facility of GBP30 million provided by Barclays Bank PLC and Santander UK PLC. This replaces the previous GBP20 million facility signed with Barclays.
"The directors maintain a positive outlook for the cinema industry and for the company in 2019. Audiences continue to enjoy film, and specifically the Everyman experience," the firm concluded.
Everyman shares were trading down 1.0% at 202.00 pence each.
