Empiric Student Property Holds First Quarter Dividend And 2019 Target

LONDON (Alliance News) - Empiric Student Property PLC declared a 1.25 pence per share dividend for its first quarter, in line with 2018.

The student accommodation owner and operator said the dividend is for the quarter to March 31 and is payable June 28 to all shareholder on the register on Friday next week. The ex-dividend date is June 6.

Of the 1.25p dividend, 0.64p will be paid as a property income distribution from Empiric's tax-exempt property rental business and 0.61p will be paid as an ordinary dividend. The 1.25p figure is equal to the dividend declared in February for the final quarter of 2018.

In 2019, Empiric is targeting a 5.0p per share dividend in 2019, equalling 2018.

Shares in Empiric were down 1.0% at 90.90p on Wednesday in London at midday.
