LONDON (Alliance News) - Bank of Cyprus Holdings PLC on Wednesday said Chair Josef Ackermann purchased a total of 550,000 shares at an average price of EUR1.90838 per share on March 4.
Ackermann's holding following the EUR1.0 million deal has not been disclosed.
March 4 was also the date on which the lender announces its 2018 results, including a significant narrowing of its pretax loss to EUR34.8 million from EUR479.2 million. In addition, Chief Executive John Hourican handed in his resignation on that date. Hourican departs in September.
Shares in Bank of Cyprus closed down 5.1% at EUR1.21 on Wednesday.
