Thu, 26th Jan 2017 08:01

LONDON (Alliance News) - Medical technology firm ConvaTec Group PLC on Thursday launched a new system for individuals with colostomies, ileostomies and urostomies, called the Esteem+ Flex Convex.

This system is the latest product in ConvaTec's line of one-piece ostomy products, designed to fit the contours of the body, and to give wearers more comfort and flexibility.

"The Esteem+ Flex Convex system provides people with a stoma with a firm yet flexible one-piece solution that fits to the body comfortably and securely," said General Manager of ConvaTec's Ostomy Care Erik Zimmer in a statement.

"Demand from the pilot markets has exceeded expectations, with consumers and healthcare professionals responding very positively to the product's comfort and security. With this addition, we have a comprehensive portfolio that addresses the needs of all ostomy consumers, and particularly the significant group of consumers who need a convex skin barrier and prefer a one-piece system," Zimmer added.
