Computacenter buys US IT services provider Government Acquisitions

(Alliance News) - Computacenter PLC on Thursday said it has agreed to buy Government Acquisitions Inc, a value-added reseller focused on the US federal government market, for an enterprise value of up to USD92 million.

The Hatfield, England-based technology services provider said the deal has been cleared by the US Committee on Foreign Investment in the US and is expected to close next Monday.

Headquartered in Cincinnati, Ohio, GAI is a IT solutions partner for federal agencies and employs around 90 people. GAI reported gross invoiced income in 2025 of around USD390 million, producing adjusted earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation of USD8 million.

Completion of the deal will result in an initial cash payment of USD63 million, with further potential performance-based payments through to the end of 2027 of up to USD29 million.

The purchase of GAI will be funded from existing cash resources, Computacenter said, and is expected to be immediately earnings accretive.

The existing GAI leadership will remain in their roles to run the business which will operate as a specialist federal government focused unit and part of Computacenter's North American operations.

"GAI provides us with access to a new market for growth in the United States, diversifies our business and leverages our growing capabilities and infrastructure," Computacenter Chief Executive Mike Norris said.

Shares in Computacenter were up 2.7% to 4,332.00 pence each in London on Thursday morning.
