Berkeley Energia Yet To Get Salamanca Approval Despite Media Reports

LONDON (Alliance News) - Berkeley Energia Ltd said Friday it is aware of media reports in Spain about the potential approval for its Salamanca uranium project but has received no official notice from the Spanish authorities.

Shares in the clean energy firm were up 28% at 26.99 pence each.

Berkeley Energia said it will update shareholders if any formal notice is received.

Berkeley Energia is waiting on the Spanish government to grant approval for the project in western Spain which would become Europe's only open-cast uranium mine.
