LONDON (Alliance News) - Baron Oil PLC on Tuesday said it now has started the seismic data acquisition programme around the Minchales well in the south of its Block XXI project in Peru.

The company expects the programme to take around 60 days to complete.

The programme will fulfil the required work programme for the current period of ownership of the block, and Baron said it should be in a position by the second quarter of 2016 to decide on whether it will drill an exploration well at the site.

Shares in Baron were untraded on Tuesday, having last traded at 0.350 pence.
