Mon, 03rd Mar 2025 16:12

(Alliance News) - Avon Technologies PLC on Monday said its Team Wendy Ceradyne arm has received another order from the US Army.

The Wiltshire, England-based protective gear company said the deal is worth USD17.6 million and is awarded under the US Army's existing next generation integrated head protection system helmet contract.

Avon Technologies shares rose 4.5% to 1,496.36 pence in London on Monday afternoon.

The firm previously won a USD18 million order under the contract with the US Army in January.

Chief Executive Officer Jos Sclater said: "This delivery order adds to our strong order book and demonstrates the continued good demand from the US [Department of Defense] for our world leading head protection technology. We continue to focus on ramping up production in our Cleveland factory to support our DoD programs and to deliver the best possible service to our customers."
