Augean appoints new Finance Director

Waste management group Augean announced it has appointed Northgate's Richard Laker as Finance Director.Laker, who is expected to assume the role in September, has held several senior finance roles since 2004. He is currently Finance Director at Northgate where he has overseen the delivery of significant efficiencies through its finance function.Prior to Northgate, Laker worked for PricewaterhouseCoopers from 1998 until 2004, where he qualified as a chartered accountant in 2001.Chief Executive Officer Stewart Davies said: "I am delighted to welcome Richard to the Augean Board as Group Finance Director. He was selected following a detailed search process and comes with significant corporate, operational and commercial experience." As of 14:45, the share price had dropped by 1.10% to 43.5p.WS
