Activity accelerates at San Leon

Tue, 29th Mar 2011 10:47
Oil and gas explorer San Leon Energy is entering an active exploration phase and intends to drill up to six wells in Poland. In total, 10 wells are being drilled this year over San Leon's interests, which also include Morocco, Albania, Ireland and Iraq. The drilling of two wells in Morocco has already begun. A well is being drilled at the Amstel field, offshore Netherlands, where San Leon has a 2.5% royalty. San Leon is acquiring additional seismic data for its interests. AIM-quoted San Leon is still reviewing the data for the Irish assets bought with Island Oil & Gas. San Leon says some of the wells being drilled have the potential to be company makers.
