(ShareCast News) - Engineering and environmental consultancy Waterman Group said strong demand in the UK significantly boosted its annual pre-tax profit and revenue.In the year to 30 June, the group saw its pre-tax profit triple to £2.4m, while revenue jumped 21.9% year-on-year to £83.9m, boosted by a 25% surge in UK revenue to £74.5m, while international revenue climbed 4% year-on-year to £9.4m.The group's order book at the close of the year rose from £120m to £130m on the back of strong demand from the group's services in the UK."The past year has seen Waterman continue to deliver against our three-year strategic plan to enhance shareholder value," said group chief executive Nick Taylor."Our profitability has improved significantly and we are proposing to double the dividend we are paying to our shareholders."Waterman shares were up 8.81% to 79.70p at 1601 BST on Monday.
