Fri, 29th Apr 2022 10:47

(Alliance News) - The following stocks are the leading risers and fallers on AIM in London on Friday.

----------

AIM - WINNERS

----------

Nightcap PLC, up 7.1% at 20.61 pence, 12-month range 13.30p-34.92p. The London-based bar operator says net sales in the 14 weeks to April 3 amounted to GBP9.6 million, up 53% from three years earlier, before the onset of the pandemic. In the 40 weeks to April 3, sales were up 49% on a three-year basis to GBP25.2 million.

M&C Saatchi PLC, up 6.8% at 191.20 pence, 12-month range 119.07p-210.00p. The London-based advertising agency says revenue in 2021 climbs 22% to GBP394.6 million from GBP323.3 million. It swings to a pretax profit of GBP21.6 million from a GBP8.5 million loss. It plans to reinstate dividends this year. M&C Saatchi separately says its independent directors feel an approach from AdvancedAdvT Ltd undervalues the firm. "However, the independent directors believe that it is in the best interests of all stakeholders in M&C Saatchi to continue to engage constructively in discussions with AdvT," the company adds.

----------

AIM - LOSERS

----------

Westminster Group PLC, down 9.6% at 2.17p, 12-month range 2.09p-6.70p. The security contractor says revenue in 2021 falls 29% to GBP7.1 million from GBP9.9 million in 2020. Westminster's pretax loss stretches to GBP1.9 million from GBP761,000. "The outlook for 2022 is looking positive as the worst impact of the global Covid-19 pandemic recedes and travel restrictions are lifted in many areas, although we remain mindful that global outlook remains uncertain, not least with the Russian invasion of Ukraine," the company says.
