LONDON (Alliance News) - W Resources PLC on Tuesday said it has secured environmental approval for its fast track mine at the La Parrilla tungsten mine in Spain.
The company said the approval has been given earlier than anticipated, meaning the local mining department in the local area can now proceed with approving the development plans for the mine, which W Resources expects to happen in September.
"This is a major milestone for W Resources that de-risks the project and demonstrates the government's support for the rapid development of the project. The development approval for the fast track mine will be the next key step paving the way for first mine production in 2016," said Michael Masterman, the company's chairman.
W Resources shares were down 4.2% to 0.254 pence on Tuesday.
