LONDON (Alliance News) - W Resources PLC Friday said it found encouraging levels of gold in sampling results in its Crato Assumar Arronches area of the Portalegre gold project in Portugal.
W Resources said its soil sampling programme, conducted over the last six months, found a 3.5 kilometre anomaly with encouraging gold concentrations.
W Resources said it took 612 soil samples from a 10 squared kilometre area.
The next step in the programme is to extend the soil sampling coverage, to be followed by trenching and drilling.
Meanwhile, it said its La Parrilla tailings processing facility is on schedule and budget, with construction well on its way on the pre-concentration plant.
W Resources shares were Friday quoted at 1.15 pence, up 7.2%.
