Active Energy CFO Diamond steps down as move into US market continues

Wed, 10th Aug 2022 11:36

(Alliance News) - Active Energy Group PLC on Wednesday said Chief Financial Officer Andrew Diamond plans to step down in mid-December.

Active Energy is a London-based biomass-focused renewable energy business.

Diamond joined the company from Victoria Oil & Gas PLC in December 2020 as a finance director.

He will stay with Active Energy as CFO for a transition period, to provide business continuity whilst a suitable replacement is identified, the company said.

It added that the search to find Diamond's successor has begun.

Chief Executive Officer Michael Rowan said: "I would like to thank Andrew for his contribution to the development of Active Energy's business in the last 18 months and the team wish him well for the next chapter of his career.

"We have commenced the search for a new CFO who can assist with the strategic business planning and have the know-how of growing the business in the US and Canada," Rowan added.

On Friday, Active Energy said it had begun trading its shares on the US OTCQB Venture Market.

Active Energy shares were down 1.1% to 7.05 pence each in London on Wednesday midday.
