Vodafone concludes tender offers for US dollar and euro notes

(Alliance News) - Vodafone Group PLC on Monday announced the final results from its ten separate offers to buyback outstanding US dollar and euro notes, which was capped at EUR4.00 billion.

For the 1.750% notes due 2023, EUR370.9 million was tendered from the EUR1.25 billion outstanding previously, while for the 4.65% notes due 2022 of the same size, just EUR182.6 million was bought back.

For the 5.375% notes due 2022, Vodafone bought back EUR90.4 million out of EUR500 million outstanding. Within the 0.500% notes due 2024, the group repurchased EUR218.8 million from EUR750 million.

In addition, for the 0.375% notes due November 2021, Vodafone bought EUR524.8 million out of EUR1.00 billion, while for the 1.250% notes due August 2021, EUR145.6 million was repurchased, out of EUR751.6 million.

For the dollar-denominated notes, Vodafone repurchased USD1.23 billion of the 3.750% notes due 2024, which had a principal amount of USD2.00 billion. For the floating rate notes due 2024, the group bought back USD511.0 million of USD1.00 billion.

In addition, Vodafone repurchased USD274.5 million of the 2.950% notes due 2023, which had a principal amount of USD897.4 million, and bought back USD128.5 million of the 2.50% notes due 2022, from the total of USD603.5 million.

"The primary purpose of the offers is to acquire the maximum principal amount of notes for which the aggregate purchase price for the notes does not exceed the cash cap," Vodafone said.

Shares in Vodafone closed 2.1% lower on Monday at 132.48 pence in London.
