LONDON (Alliance News) - Vodafone Group PLC has signed up 100,000 subscribers to its 4G mobile-phone network since launching the service seven weeks ago, the Guardian newspaper reported Thursday.
The UK's third-largest mobile operator has connected 80 central and outer London districts to the superfast service, the newspaper said.
The rate of take-up among Vodafone's customers is around 15,000 a week, the Guardian said, level with that seen at EE, which launched its 4G service at the end of October 2012 in 11 UK towns and cities.
Vodafone shares were quoted Thursday morning at 215.55 pence, up 0.55p.
