WALL ST FLAT AFTER CLAIMS DATA, RETAILERS' SALES
Stocks were little changed on Thursday after data showedmodest improvement in the labor market and retailers postedmixed monthly sales. Weekly initial jobless claims dipped lastweek, with the four-week moving average falling to its lowestlevel since March 2008, signaling the economy continues torecover slowly. The Dow Jones industrial average dropped13.90 points, or 0.10 percent, to 13,972.62. The Standard &Poor's 500 Index dropped 0.43 points, or 0.03 percent, to1,511.69. The Nasdaq Composite Index dropped 3.04points, or 0.10 percent, to 3,165.43.
** APPLE INC, $457.75, up 0.7 pct (1000 ET)
Fund manager David Einhorn's Greenlight Capital sued theiPhone maker, saying it needed to do more to unlock value forshareholders. Greenlight said it was "dissatisfied with Apple'scapital allocation strategy."
** JP MORGAN CHASE & CO, $48.64, down 0.6 pct (1026ET)Emails and employee interviews filed as part of a lawsuit showthat the company flouted quality controls as it bundledmortgages into complex financial instruments, the New York Timesreported.
** VODAFONE GROUP PLC , $27.19, up 1.1 pct(1001 ET)
The UK-based telecom operator said it received a transferpricing order in India over the issue of shares by its unitVodafone India Services Private Ltd.

The auto parts retailer forecast 2013 earnings between $5.57 and $5.67 per share, beating analysts' expectations of$5.44 per share, according to Thomson Reuters I/B/E/S.
** ADVANCE AUTO PARTS INC, $78.23, up 7.3 pct (1001ET)
The auto parts retailer posted a fourth-quarter profit of 88cents per share, largely beating analysts' expectations of 75cents per share.

Wells Fargo Securities upgraded the stock to "outperform" asit expects the company's gross margin to improve on increasedBlackBerry 10 growth. BlackBerry, which is in the process ofchanging its legal name from Research In Motion Ltd, said onWednesday it had its best ever first day of a launch of a newBlackBerry smartphone in Canada.

The analytics and data storage company forecast a 2013profit that may miss estimates, as its North American customerscontinued to keep a tight reign on budgets.

The department store operator reported a 11.7 percent risein same-store sales in January, trumping the 6.2 percent riseanalysts expected on average, as new fashions introduced afterthe holiday season kept customers coming to its stores.

The apparel and accessories store retailer reported Januarysame-store sales that rose 13.3 percent and saidcomparable-store sales in the quarter rose 1.9 percent.
** TRONOX INC, $18.44, down 1.6 pct (1005 ET)
The paint materials company estimated that itsfourth-quarter revenue and adjusted earnings before interest,taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) would be lowerthan previously anticipated as three ore shipments were eitherdelayed or cancelled by customers, and as it wrote down thevalue of its inventory by $9.6 million. The company estimatedrevenue of $482 million and adjusted EBITDA of $70 million forthe quarter ended Dec. 31.

The largest nuclear operator in the United States said itwill cut its dividend by 41 percent to $1.24 per share from thesecond quarter to free up money to invest in growth. The movewas "positive subject to dividend sustainability," analysts atTudor, Pickering, Holt & Co said, adding that the dividend wasabove their expectations of $1.00 to $1.10. Exelon also reportedfourth-quarter profit that met analysts' estimates asConstellation Energy's contribution to margins helped offsetlower energy prices and higher nuclear fuel costs. The health insurer reported a higher-than-expectedfourth-quarter profit, helped by the acquisition of Medicareprovider HealthSpring, and raised its outlook for 2013.
