The FTSE small cap index, which hit a record high earlier this week,is up by 0.1 percent in early session trading, broadly in line with a 0.2percent advance on the blue-chip FTSE 100 index.
The FTSE 250 mid-cap index is down by 0.2 percent, as is thesmall-cap FTSE AIM All Share Index.
Industrial maintenance and repairs group Brammer rises 1.8 percentto 469 pence after its acquisition of Scandinavian peer Lonne Holding, withbroker Investec raising its price target on Brammer shares to 470 pence from 440pence.
Condor Gold also rises 15.3 percent after reporting positiveresults from its La India project in Nicaragua.
Vialogy falls 32.9 percent after the company - whose seismic dataimages are used to detect gas and oil - says it will raise 1.1 million pounds($1.81 million) before expenses by issuing 1.1 million shares at 0.1 pence each.
