(Alliance News) - The following is a round-up of London-listed company director and manager changes announced this week and not separately reported by Alliance News:
----------
Victoria PLC - Worcester, England-based designer, manufacturer and distributor of flooring products - Confirms Chief Executive Philippe Hamers will leave the company on June 30 after nine years in post, the company having first announced his planned exit back in October. No replacement will be made. Instead, the heads of each operating division will report to the board, led by Executive Chair Geoff Wilding. Roberto Moreno will continue to head both the Rugs and North America divisions, as well as continuing as group chief operating officer. Steve Byrne, who rejoined the company in April, will be chief executive of UK Flooring. Francisco Carvajal remains chief executive of Ceramics, having been promoted into that role in February. "The recent period has been exceptionally challenging for the sector," comments Wilding, adding: "Our priority is execution: delivering the self-help initiatives we have set out, generating cash, reducing leverage and rebuilding value for shareholders."
----------
BWA Group PLC - mining investor with licences in Cameroon and Canada - Non-Executive Director Peter Taylor moves to CEO from Monday. Taylor had joined the board back in August 2024. He previously was CEO of former AIM-listed Pathfinder Minerals PLC, where he worked on heavy mineral sands projects in Mozambique. "His strong technical background and first-hand experience advancing mining projects across Africa, including in Cameroon, positions him well to lead the company as we progress our exploration programmes and work towards unlocking the full value of our portfolio," BWA Chair Jonathan Wearing says of Taylor.
----------
eEnergy Group PLC - London-based net zero energy services provider - Andrew Lawley will step down as chair at the company's annual general meeting. He will be replaced by Non-Executive Director John Samuel. It will represent a full change at the top of the company. Last month, Chief Financial Officer John Gahan took over as interim CEO after Harvey Sinclair left immediately "by mutual agreement with the board".
----------
Proteome Sciences PLC - Surrey, England-based provider of contract proteomics services to enable drug discovery, development and biomarker identification - Ian Pike leaves role of chief scientific officer but moves to non-executive director position and will provide consultancy to Proteome Sciences "as required to cover his former responsibilities, whilst allowing him a better time-balance for his personal life".
----------
Mortgage Advice Bureau Holdings PLC - Derby, England-based mortgage broker - Says Yaiza Luengo is no longer a director of the company nor COO as of Friday last week. No reason is provided. Luengo joined Mortgage Advice Bureau as COO only in September last year, and she joined the board only this past January.
----------
Union Jack Oil PLC - Bath, England-based onshore exploration, development and production in UK and US - Graham Bull resigns as non-executive director immediately. The company says Bull "cited the detrimental effect attacks on the board from certain media organisations has had on him and his family in his decision to resign". Union Jack is scheduled to hold its AGM on June 26 in Bristol. Last week, the board issued a statement recommending shareholders to vote against a resolution to appoint former director and 9.2% shareholder Craig Howie to its board. In January, Howie resigned at the unanimous request of the board due to what Union Jack called his "demonstrable lack of knowledge as to the vital role of the technical team in a listed company focused on oil and gas exploration", as well as "material breaches of confidentiality contrary to his legal and contractual obligations". Union Jack charged that Howie is "opportunistically trying to gain control of the company, its operational asset base and its cash without paying a control premium".
