Small caps round up: Ultima Networks, Cambria Africa, dotDigital

Tue, 08th May 2012 09:41

dotDigital, a provider of email marketing services says it has seen a number of key new client wins and extensions over the last few months, including the Environment Agency, Reiss, Logitech, and Moneyfacts Group. Ultima Networks increased profits and revenue in 2011 though cash took a tumble. Ultima does three things: produces software for the legal profession; sells green tech products like electric bicycles; and develops solar power installations. Over 2011 revenue jumped 55% to £2.97m from £1.92m in 2010, while operating profits for the year increased 37% to £0.49m from £0.36m. Profit before tax rose to £0.48m from £0.35m in 2010. Earnings per share improved to 0.19p from 0.13p the year before. Cash at the bank, or on short term bank deposits, was £388,000 as at December 31st, 2011, down from £663,000 at the end of 2010. Cambria Africa, the investment company formerly known as Lonzim, is to buy out the minority holders of Zimbabwe-listed commercial printer Celsys, and through this become quoted itself on the Zimbabwe Stock Exchange. Cambria currently owns three-fifths of Celsys. Cambria will offer a cash alternative to its share offer for Celsys; if every Celsys shareholder opts for the cash Cambria will end up paying $192,000. "We believe, given the exposure Cambria receives in Zimbabwe there will be an increase in liquidity of Cambria shares which will, in our view, lead to more efficient pricing of Cambria shares," said Edzo Wiseman, chief executive officer of Cambria. The company will also maintain its listing on London's AIM.
