LONDON (Alliance News) - Greencoat UK Wind PLC said on Wednesday it has accelerated the closing date of its GBP118.8 million share placing to Thursday from Tuesday next week, following material investor demand.
Shares in the FTSE 250-listed renewable infrastructure fund were up 0.7% at 119.40 pence on Wednesday.
Greencoat said on Tuesday last week it intended to place up to 101.6 million shares at 117.00 pence per share, and originally would close the placing next Tuesday.
Greencoat will use the proceeds from the placing to fund the GBP114.2 million required to raise Clyde wind farms' stake, which it is doing after exercising an option. RBC Capital Markets is running the placing as bookrunner.
