Avast PLC - Prague-based antivirus software - Chief Financial Officer Philip Marshall steps down immediately "due to personal reasons". Stuart Simpson is named interim CFO. Simpson recently was interim chief executive officer of Royal Mail PLC and before that CFO & chief operating officer. Last month, Avast agreed to be bought by US competitor NortonLifeLock Inc in a deal worth more than USD8 billion. It said Marshall will remain as an advisor until the close of the the acquisition by NortonLifeLock.

WH Ireland Group PLC - London-based broker and wealth manager - Hires Tom Wood as non-executive director. Wood was chief restructuring & financial officer at Co-operative Bank PLC from 2017 until 2019. Prior to that, he was CFO of specialist savings and lending bank Shawbrook Group PLC.

Tritax Big Box REIT PLC - London-based investor in distribution centres - Hires Wu Gang as non-executive director, starting on October 1. He has 25 years of investment banking experience in Asia and Europe, Tritax Big Box notes, including setting up and leading the European investment banking team at CLSA Securities, the international investment banking platform of CITIC Securities. Wu Gang currently is a non-executive director of contracts-for-difference trading platform operator IG Group Holdings PLC.

Utilico Emerging Markets Trust PLC - invests in infrastructure and utility and related sectors in emerging markets - Hires Mark Bridgeman as independent non-executive director, starting Wednesday. Bridgeman was global head of Research at asset manager Schroders PLC. He currently is non-executive director of Law Debenture Corp PLC, an investor and provider of pension and trust services.

Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust PLC - investor in sustainable listed growth companies - Hires Lindsay Dodsworth as non-executive director. Dodsworth is an accountant who was a partner at Ernst & Young. She is chair of a family office and its investment oversight committees.
