Last checked at (Sharecast News) - Tertiary Minerals updated the market on its first drill hole at the Pyramid Gold Project in Nevada on Monday, reporting that the drill rig had been mobilised ahead of schedule, and the hole been successfully completed and drilled to a total depth of 137 metres.
The AIM-traded firm said the drill hole would seek to confirm the presence of the priority epithermal vein drill target, which was previously intersected in historic drill hole PYR 9.
It said the core from the drill hole had been transferred to an independent laboratory in Reno, Nevada, where detailed geological logging, core cutting, and analysis was underway.
Analysis, as well as quality assurance and control checks, were expected to be completed within four weeks.
Tertiary added that all planned activities were carried out in compliance with the State of Nevada's protocols to address the ongoing Covid-19 coronavirus pandemic.
"We are pleased to have successfully completed our first drill hole at Pyramid ahead of schedule and look forward to providing updates in due course when the assay results have been received and satisfactory quality assurance and control checks have been completed," said managing director Richard Clemmey.
At 1610 BST, shares in Tertiary Minerals were down 5.31% at 0.23p.
