LONDON, July 27 (Reuters) - Britain's third-largesthousebuilder Taylor Wimpey said a referendum in whichBritons backed leaving the European Union has had no meaningfuleffect on its performance in the last month.
Taylor Wimpey, which posted a 12 percent rise in first-halfpre-tax profits to 267 million pounds ($351 million), said itwas too soon to see how the June 23 Brexit vote would affect thehousing market in the months ahead but so far there had been nonoticeable change in demand.
"One month on from the EU Referendum, current tradingremains in line with normal seasonal patterns. Customer interestcontinues to be high, with a good level of visitors both to ourdevelopments and to our website," CEO Pete Redfern said.($1 = 0.7615 pounds) (Reporting by Costas Pitas, editing by James Davey)
