LONDON (Alliance News) - Trans-Siberian Gold PLC Monday said production of refined gold and silver, alongside dore bar production rose in the first five months of 2015 after recovery rates and grades improved.
Refined gold production in the five months ended May 31 totalled 15,600 ounces, up from 11,980 ounces a year earlier, whilst refined silver production rose to 21,115 ounces from 17,009 ounces.
Gold dore production also increased to 15,809 ounces from 13,650 ounces, and silver dore rose to 20,915 ounces from 18,371 ounces. A dore bar is a semi-pure alloy of either gold and silver or a combination of the two.
Higher grades and recovery rates contributed to the increase in production as gold grades rose to 7.76 grammes per tonne from 7.08 grammes, whilst silver grades rose to 13.11 grammes from 12.17 grammes. Gold recovery rates improved to 95.49% from 94.41%, and silver recovery rates were 74.72%, up from 74.69%
The recovery rates and grades of silver and gold steadily improved month-on-month from the end of the first quarter.
Trans-Siberian shares untraded at 12.03 pence per share on Monday morning.
