Britain's junior-listed AIM shares fall 0.1 percent, underperformingthe small caps which rise 0.4 percent, while the mid-caps andthe blue chips close up 0.3 percent and 0.8 percent, respectively.
Shares in Tarsus Group rise 1.4 percent to 250 pence as thebusiness-to-business media group posts an 8 percent increase in like-for-likerevenue in the first half of the year (H1).
"Tarsus has this morning released a good set of H1 numbers," analysts atNumis Securities say in a note, raising their target on the stock to 275 pencefrom 244 pence.
Shares in Hyder Consulting rise 0.4 percent as the design andengineering consultancy reports an increase in its order book in the threemonths to the end of June.
"Hyder has reported a solid start to the year," analysts at Investec writein a note, reiterating their "buy" recommendation and 535 pence target on thestock.
"Looking under the bonnet, we are encouraged by momentum in Australia,where underlying performance is in-line in spite of FX (forex) headwinds, whilethe UK and Middle East continue to demonstrate robust growth."
Bushveld Minerals adds 3.6 percent after the southern African ironand tin developer announced it had received a further 27.27% shareholderintention to accept its all share take-over offer for ASX listed LemurResources.
