Triad Group Says Government Spending Review Key As Interim Profit Up

Thu, 12th Nov 2015 11:08

LONDON (Alliance News) - IT services company Triad Group PLC Thursday reported a rise in pretax profit for its first half, and said a key factor in its outlook will be the outcome of the UK government's November spending review.

For the half year to end-September the company reported a pretax profit of GBP215,000, up from GBP126,000 a year before, on revenue of GBP12.7 million, up from GBP10.6 million.

It did not declare an interim dividend in either period.

Triad said its work in central government had been of "particular note", with both the size and duration of its contracts in this area having increased. It has clients including the Ministry of Justice, the Home Office and the Electoral Commission.

In the private sector its clients included an undisclosed insurance and consumer services company.

Triad said it expects its margins to improve as it recruits more permanent employees, but its focus is on " very careful selection of staff who will enable us to maintain the essence of Triad which has been such a significant factor in winning and retaining business."

Shares in Triad Group were up 6.5% at 35.66 pence Thursday morning.
