Tracis Appoints Senior Ricardo Executive As CEO Designate

Mon, 07th Jan 2019 10:19

LONDON (Alliance News) - Traffic data software provider Tracsis PLC said on Monday it has appointed Christopher Barnes as chief executive officer designate with effect on February 4.

He will be replacing John MacArthur, who will be stepping down in the first half of 2019 to "focus on family and other business matters", but will remain with Tracsis in a part-time advisory capacity on M&A activity.

MacArthur has been chief executive officer at Tracsis for 15 years since 2004.

Barnes is currently managing director at Ricardo UK Ltd's automotive consulting division, part of engineering consultancy Ricardo PLC.

"I would like to pay tribute to John for his exceptional contribution over the past 14 years and what he has achieved for Tracsis and we wish him every success for the future. We are delighted to have secured Chris Barnes to succeed John and I welcome him to the group. Chris has great sector experience, and his ambition and credentials will be a real asset to Tracsis as we embark on our next phase of growth," said Chairman Chris Cole.

Shares in Tracisis remained flat at 608.00 pence on Monday.
