(Alliance News) - TP Group PLC on Monday said it has been part of a team which has won the UK Ministry of Defence Skynet client side support contract.
The engineering services provider said the contract has been confirmed with the issue of the first task orders worth GBP1.5 million, which are expected to be delivered over the next 12 months.
The full contract is planned to last for five years and has an advertised value of GBP150 million, TP Group noted.
Working with the prime contractor for client side support, PA Consulting, TP Group said it is providing technical assurance, approvals, analysis and cost estimation expertise to the project.
"We are very pleased to join the PA Consulting team for such a prestigious project in military satellite communications and technology," said TP Group Chief Executive Phil Cartmell.
"This win cements the company's role as a trusted partner to Ministry of Defence in this high technology field and positions the group for other major space programme work throughout Europe," aded Cartmell.
TP Group shares were trading 3.9% higher on Monday in London at 6.65 pence each.
