LONDON (Alliance News) - Utility firm SSE PLC has appointed Ernst & Young LLP as it external auditor for its year to March 2020.
This follows a tender process overseen by SSE's audit committee, with the selection process including committee members as well as SSE's board chairman and its finance director.
KPMG LLP - SSE's current external auditor - has been reappointed to undertake the company's audit for the year to March 31.
"We thank KPMG for their excellent contribution as SSE's auditor for many years and we look forward to working with [Ernst & Young] in the future," said Peter Lynas, SSE's audit committee chairman.
Shares in SSE closed down 1.4% at 1,055.00 pence on Monday.
