Shares in Sunrise Resources brightened after the US silver explorer struck a high quality deposit of the precious metal in Nevada.The stock rose 0.03p or 6.25% to 0.43p as Sunrise said 11 samples contained an average of 11.3 ounces per ton of silver along a 280-metre strike length of the Chihuahua-Buckeye vein system at its Bay State silver project.It also said it had found new areas of mineralisation, with a sample from an un-worked outcrop east of the Chihuahua vein showing 26.3 ounces per ton of silver.Executive chairman Patrick Cheetham said: "Whilst it is early days in our evaluation of the Bay State Silver Project, I am delighted to be reporting high grade sampling results over a significant strike length on the main vein Chihuahua-Buckeye vein system as well as the discovery of a new occurrence of high grade silver mineralisation. It is an exciting start to the project."
