Hipgnosis Songs shares up as share buyback programme begins

(Alliance News) - Hipgnosis Songs Fund Ltd on Friday said it has appointed Singer Capital Markets

Securities Ltd to manage its share buyback scheme.

Hipgnosis is a Guernsey-registered music intellectual property investment and song management company. Its shares were up 5.6% to 86.95 pence each in London on Friday morning.

Hipgnosis said that the share repurchase programme will count towards the company's general buyback plan of 15% of its issued share capital. This was approved at the company's 2022 annual general meeting.

The buyback programme will begin on Friday and will run until December 8.
