AIM WINNERS & LOSERS: Zytronic sales up; Smart Metering fundraises

Tue, 14th Sep 2021 11:16

(Alliance News) - The following stocks are the leading risers and fallers on AIM in London on Tuesday.

----------

AIM - WINNERS

----------

Zytronic PLC, up 21% at 181.00 pence, 12-month range 95.00p-185.00p. In a short update on Tuesday, the manufacturer and developer of touch technology products says second half sales are currently 30% higher than they were in the first half, enabling a "faster return to profitability". Zytronic expects revenue and profit for the year ending September 30 to top market forecasts. Shares hit an intraday high of 184.90p, narrowly short of its 52-week high.

----------

Fiske PLC, up 13% at 90.00 pence, 12-month range 60.00p-90.00p. The London-based stockbroker hit this 12-month high on Tuesday. It says revenue in the year ended May 31 rises 13% to GBP6.1 million from GBP5.4 million. Fiske swings to a pretax profit of GBP610,000 from a GBP127,000 loss.

----------

AIM - LOSERS

----------

Smart Metering Systems PLC, down 15% at 874.00p, 12-month range 560.00p-1,038.00p. The Glasgow-based smart meters and energy management firm raises GBP175 million through a placing at 900p per share. Smart Metering announced plans for the cash raise late Monday, when it also reported interim earnings. For the six months to June 30, revenue falls 4.6% to GBP51.7 million from GBP54.2 million and pretax profit plunges 97% to GBP5.0 million from GBP194.5 million.

----------

Infrastructure India PLC, down 14% at 0.80p, 12-month range 0.75p-2.80p. The investment fund has a portfolio of Indian energy and transport assets. It says rail freight asset Distribution Logistics Infrastructure Ltd is suffering from a "severe" labour shortage and bottlenecks. In addition, the devaluation of the Indian rupee against the pound is expected to hit its net asset value per share. NAV per share is tipped to come in between 10p and 13p, a decline of as much as 45% from 18.2p a year earlier. Infrastructure India says it will need beyond the September 30 deadline to complete the audit process of its annual results.
