EXECUTIVE CHANGES: Long-serving FIH Group CEO to retire in April

(Alliance News) - The following is a round-up of London-listed company director and manager changes announced on Tuesday and not separately reported by Alliance News:

National Grid PLC - London-headquartered provider of electricity system operation and transmission in UK and power supply in US north east - Senior Independent Director Mark Williamson will retire from the board on December 31, having served a maximum term as a director. Therese Esperdy is promoted to senior independent director from January 1.

Burberry Group PLC - London-based luxury goods retailer - Hires Danuta Gray as non-executive director, starting December 1. Gray is chair of Direct Line Insurance Group PLC. Gray is a former executive of Telefonica SA and BT Group PLC.

FIH Group PLC - essential services provider in UK and Falkland Islands - John Foster will step down as chief executive officer on April 14 next year, having led the company for 17 years. Foster will be replaced by Chief Financial Officer Stuart Munro, who joined FIH back in April. Changes will be made to the company's finance function to accommodate Munro's move.

EKF Diagnostics Holdings PLC - Cardiff-based diagnostics and central laboratory assay maker - Hires Marc Davies as CFO, joining the board on January 1. Davies replaces Richard Evans, who is chief operating officer and finance director. Evans will step down from his position on January 1 and leave the company at the end of March. Davies joins from medical device firm Flexicare Medical Ltd, where he is finance and operations director.

Transense Technologies PLC - Bicester, England-based developer of sensor systems for vehicles - Names two new executive directors. Promotes Nick Hopkins to board as COO and Ryan Maughan as business development director, both from December 1. Plans to appoint an additional independent non-executive director within the next six months. Tells annual general meeting on Tuesday that revenue in the financial year to date is in line with expectations and ahead of last year. Since financial 2022 began on July 1, trading has been profitable and cash generative, Transense says.

Sancus Lending Group Ltd - Guernsey-based alternative property finance - Confirms Interim CEO Rory Mepham as permanent CEO. Mepham had stepped in to replace Andy Whelan back in June, having led funding and origination. He had joined Sancus back in January. Dan Walker, who had been group COO and managing director of Sancus UK before being named deputy CEO in June, has resigned and will depart on January 31. Sancus says it has completed its strategic transition and is now focussed on the UK, Irish, Channel Island and Gibraltar property sectors.

Engage XR Holdings PLC - Waterford City, Ireland-based virtual reality communications - Hires Kenny Jacobs as independent non-executive director, while Harry Kloor steps down, both effective immediately. Jacobs was chief marketing officer for Ryanair Holding PLC and led sales and marketing for grocer Tesco PLC in Ireland.

Rutherford Health PLC - Hereford, England-based cancer care centre provider - Alain Baron resigns as non-executive director, effective immediately, having served on the board since 2017.

Orient Telecoms PLC - Kuala Lumpur-based telecommunication services provider - All AGM resolutions are passed on Tuesday, except for resolution to reappoint Leon Santos as a director. Company makes no further comment.

IN BRIEF: Ryanair passenger traffic grows to 16 million in April

Ryanair Holdings PLC - Dublin-based budget airline - Carries 16.0 million passengers in April, up 13% from 14.2 million in April last year and up 27% from March this year. Ryanair notes that this April was hurt by strikes by French air traffic controllers, resulting in more than 650 flights with 118,000 passengers being cancelled, while April last year was hurt by Russia's invasion of Ukraine. Load factor last month was 94%, up from 91% a year before and 93% from March. On a rolling 12-month basis, Ryanair carried 170.3 million passengers in April, up 55% from 110.2 million a year before. Load factor for the 12 months improved to 94% from 83%.
