LONDON (Alliance News) - Rambler Metals & Mining PLC on Tuesday said it has delivered a further 6,300 wet metric tonnes of copper and gold concentrate from the Goodyear's Cove site in Newfoundland in Canada.
Internal sampling conducted by the company estimates an average grade of 27% copper, 9 grams of gold per tonne and 68 grammes of silver per tonne.
The shipment is the tenth completed from Goodyear's Cove, bringing the total concentrate shipped to 64,000 wet metric tonnes.
"It was a difficult winter for the company; however, we continued to produce high grade copper concentrate that we have now delivered. We are pleased to report that the operation has stabilised under the revised mine plan. The cost reduction strategies we implemented earlier in the year have been successful in reducing overall capital and operating costs as well," said Norman Williams, Rambler's president and chief executive officer.
Shares in Rambler were up 5.8% to 11.9011 pence on Tuesday.
