(Alliance News) - Relx PLC on Friday it has completed its GBP500 million share buyback programme for 2022, and it plans to further repurchase its ordinary shares at the beginning of 2023.
The London-based information and analytics firm said it will spend up to GBP150 million to repurchase its shares between January 3 and February 13.
Relx said on Friday that it completed its share buyback programme for 2022, having purchased 21.7 million shares at GBP500 million since February 10.
It added that the purpose of the programme is to reduce the capital of Relx, and the company plans to hold the shares it purchased in treasury.
Shares in Relx were up 0.9% to 2,336.00 on Friday morning in London.
